Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty, know as The Scarlet Pimpernel who helped save over 6,000 jews and pow's during world war 2 while resident in The Vatican, was awarded a posthumous International Humanitarian Award and The freedom of Killarney in The malton HotelKillarney at the weekend.
