Klara O’Sullivan from Presentation Secondary School in Milltown is one of eighteen shortlisted finalists who will compete for the title of Young Entrepreneur 2010 at an Awards Ceremony in Killarney next week. Klara’s business idea for Smart Spurs, easily attachable and detachable horse riding spurs, has been selected from more than 500 proposals, representing secondary schools throughout Kerry and Limerick, as well as the Institute of Technology, Tralee and University of Limerick. This year there are three category winners: Second Level, Third Level and Best School. The second level winner will receive a trip of a lifetime to Silicon Valley, California. The third level winner will receive €5,000 seed funding to transform business dreams into reality and the best school will receive the latest IT equipment for the classroom to the value of €5,000.
