2-7-2012: 'Ta Siad af teacht'!. Former Kerry footballer Paidi O'Se and his son Padraig pictured rowing a traditional currach laden down with with crubeens, spare ribs, lobster and local vegetables arriving at Cuan Pier, Ventry, County Kerry on Monday for the launch of the annual 'Scleip an t-Samhraidh (Tearaway Week) which will take place July 16th-22nd in Ventry.
Ceoil, bia agus craic will herald in the exciting fextival which includes a 50k cycle led by Mike Galwey, defenses tug of war competition and sheep dog trials and a special perfromance by Dolores Keane. The weeklong festival will begin with smoked makerel directly from the sea served with summer salad and will end on Saturday with a trditional feasting on spare ribs, crubeens and lobster barbque.
