"Kerry & Tuscany", Flowers‚ Animals & Landscape by artist Holly Melia is currently on display at the Frank Lewis Gallery Killarney. Holly is a daughter of artist Pauline Bewick and Pat Melia. Holly and her sister Poppy grew up in an artistic atmosphere where they were encouraged to paint. She went on to study in the National College of Art & Design for three years and then she transferred her study to Italy where she currently lives and paints. A love of nature, which she inherited from her mother is a common thread through all of her works. She uses watercolours, oils and gouache in strong, bright colours which is applied thickly to cover the full page. Holly's subject matter is flora, fruit and animals of Italy and Ireland.<br />
