The mini marathon is intended to cater for women of all levels of fitness with walkers, joggers and runners being encouraged to take part. It is anticipated that the 10km run will become a permanent fixture for recreational runners and walkers as the peninsula’s landscape forms one of the most impressive backdrops imaginable for any such event.
The event is being run on a ‘not for profit’ basis. The benificiaries are National Breast Cancer Research Institute and Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne for the development of a playing pitch with running track.
With less than three weeks to the big event, registration for Dingle Women’s Mini Marathon is ongoing and further details are available on www.dingleminimarathon.com
