21st August 2010: The Bord Gáis Energy Big Switch Road-Show took place from Thursday to Sunday in Manor West Retail Park, Tralee. The road-show was launched to help customers make the Big Switch and make big savings.
Following on from a weeklong promotion on Radio Kerry lucky listener Agnes O'Sullivan from Listowel pictured with Colm The Gooch Cooper after she walked away with one year’s worth of free electricity from Bord Gáis Energy.
Since the Big Switch launched people of Kerry have been switching in their thousands to Ireland’s leading dual fuel provider and making big savings. Countrywide over 350,000 customers have now switched following Bord Gáis Energy’s entry into Ireland’s residential electricity market last year. Offering significant cost reductions ranging from 10% to 14% off ESB rates for the first year the Big Switch campaign has proved to be massively successful and has exceeded Bord Gáis Energy’s initial targets at the outset of the campaign. The Bord Gáis Energy Big Switch Road-Show will also visit Waterford in September.
