17-9-2012: A group of Kerry Bog ponies are taken for their annual 'bath in the sea' at Rossbeigh Beach in County Kerry on Monday ahead of their annual show & sale which takes place at the 'Red Fox' Glenbeigh next Saturday. Picture shows owners John Mulvihill, Mossy Pierce, Mike and Emma Teahan and Danny Donovan prancing with their ponies in the waves on Monday afternoon. .The unique Kerry Bog Pony is a very old Mountain and Moorland breed of pony originating in Ireland, and traditionally used for hauling peat from the bogs, as well as for general work on small holdings. .Picture by Don MacMonagle
