FUNGI THE DINGLE DOLPHIN WATCHES BOAT RESCUE:
This large fishing vessel is towed to safety and refloated on the water on Saturday afternoon after it had run aground and ended up on rocks near Dingle harbour in the early hours of Saturday morning. The French-registered boat raised the alarm at 2.30AM on Saturday morning and ten crew members had to be rescued. Valentia Lifeboat and the Dingle Coastguard went to the scene, along with a RIB from the naval vessel the LE Ciara which was docked in Dingle . The operation was co-ordinated from the Coastguard Radio Station on Valentia Island. The crew spent the night in a Dingle hotel and the trawler was successfully refloated on Saturday afternoon with the aid of a Tug boat.
