Failte Ireland recently hosed a group of Disney / Star Wars media on a trip around the scenes of the recent Star Movies shot on location in West Kerry. The group is pictured on Dun Mor Head at Coomeenole, Slea Head in West Kerry overlooking the Blasket Islands where they recorded new material for the promotion of the next movie.

Top International Media Feel the Force on Visit to Star Wars Film Locations in Kerry
Irish shooting locations and the hospitality combined provides a truly special experience.
A group of over 25 of the world’s leading entertainment and lifestyle media were hosted by Fáilte Ireland and brought in the footsteps of Luke Skywalker to see for themselves how the force was awakened as they visited the Star Wars film locations in Kerry. The trip was arranged in conjunction with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures/ Lucasfilm Ltd™ and Tourism Ireland and timed for the week that Star Wars actor Mark Hamill took part in the St Patrick’s Festival as International Guest of Honour.
The group of high profile media from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, have a combined reach of over 28 million. The TV and print journalists write for some of the world’s leading newspapers and included staff from the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Entertainment Tonight online, Dish Nation/FOX affiliates. In addition, representatives from MTV.com and LadBible.com two of the UK’s largest online entertainment companies with 12 million viewers got to explore our Galaxy and Skellig Michael, where Star Wars was filmed.
