Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Giuseppe Leanza, Bishop Bill Murphy of Kerry and mayor of Killarney patrick O'Donoghue lead a group of walkers down Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty Road in Killarney on Sunday after the road naming ceremony in honour of the pries known as The Scarlet Pimpernel. Mons O'Flaherty helped save over 6,000 jews and pow's during world war 2 while resident in The Vatican. The monsignor was awarded a posthumous International Humanitarian Award The freedom of Killarney in a weekend of event.
